His lineage line according to Patrick King of York, England, whose wife is a Sessions and a lot of research has been done on this, is as follows: John Sessions buried 1569 at age 70 which would put his birth at abt 1499 had a son, Thomas, born 1551. Thomas married Agnes Chapman (will 1577, her will 1579) had a son, Richard, 1567, who married Jane—thus the parents of George.
George sailed from the port of London aboard the Bonaventure merchant vessel, bound for Virginia on 2 January 1634, arriving at Jamestown, Virginia about March or April 1634. A Philadelphia, Pa. Register shows George arriving and taking a stage down to Virginia Colony where he lived in Yorktown. He had a son, Thomas born in 1640.
Thomas bought Lot 56 in 1692 from the trustees of York on the 20th of March 1962. He built a beautiful Dutch Colonial home on it and it is now the oldest house in the town. It was built before nails were invented and is now called The Shield House, after Judge Shields who is the present owner (unless he has passed away in the last few years). Thomas decided to go to South Carolina. He engaged in rice, indigo culture and had a cheese factory. His home was between Georgetown, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina. Thomas died in 1708 in Kingston, Conway, South Carolina.
There is still a question of wheather it was George's son Thomas who built the house or a grandson, Thomas. Another mystery to solve.
