ROBERT E. RICHARDSON

Husband of Marion Ruth Gettle

Robert (Bob) was born May 17, 1927 to William and Reva Richardson in Park City, Utah. He attended the schools in Park City. He played football.

He went to work in the shipyards in Portland, Oregon. When he returned to Park City he went to work for the DR&G Railroad until they closed down. He then went to work in the mines as a surveyor helper. Later he became a contract miner for a few years, then he became a welder in the shop, then became shop foreman, then mechanical superintendent. He went to Canada for six weeks to see a hoist being torn apart. He then came back and installed a chippie hoist at the Ontario mine. He also installed the compressor at Ontario mine. He moved the flat cable hoist from Silver Hill to No. 6 shaft. He also moved the chipper hoist to No. 6 shaft from Silver Hill.

He married Marion Ruth Gettle and they had four sons: Robert, Brent, Mike and Scott.

Bob and Ruth ran a ski lodge in Park City for eight years. They called it quits and moved back into their home in the Silver Creek Estates. Bob is still working today as a maintenance man for a reservation company. He is a jack of all trades, what he does is excellent work and people know they can depend on him to do a good job.

Bob has a great personality, always smiling and willing to do more than he should, but likes people and helps them all he can. He loves outdoor sports especially fishing and camping. He and Ruth go South for at least a month or six weeks every year, which they really enjoy.
