SUSAN LOUISE SESSIONS HUCKVALE

Daughter of Taylor Kenneth Sessions Jr. and Carolan Craycroft

I was born in Los Gatos, California on September 15th, 1963. I can indeed say that I was born of Goodly Parents. I have been taught the gospel of Jesus Christ, and have found it easy to adhere to the teachings and standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I am forever grateful to my Father in Heaven for blessing me with such wonderful parents. I grew up in a home where Mom and Dad were always there for me. They encouraged me in anything that I wanted to pursue. My Mother taught me to love God's creations. She taught me how to cook and clean and enjoy life. I know that may sound like an oxymoron, but Mom had a way of making such things fun. She filled our home with rich traditions that keep a family strong and we all had a sense of security within the walls of our home. She will always hold the title of the best "Mrs. Santa Clause"!

My Father taught us in his quiet, but sure way. I am who I am today because of my parents. My Father is to me my hero. We grew up hearing all about our family heritage and have heard many stories of our ancestors. Dad is very patriotic, and having served in the armed forces, we can feel things from him, that have instilled a reverence for our country. He has taught us what it means to truly love. He is a man who didn't seek for fame or fortune in this life. He worked hard, and sacrificed so many things for his family. He was always there for our cheerleading/sporting events with his movie camera rolling. His whole joy was in his children. And we knew it. And not one of us would ever do anything to bring him dishonor because we loved him so much. Dad, You are my Hero! I swear that I wrote the primary song entitled, "I'm so glad when daddy comes home"!

My interests have been in music, dance and the theater. I was in 3 different choirs in High School. The Madrigal ensemble, Treble Clef, and A cappella. I Studied private voice lessons for 2 years before heading off to college. I attended Ricks College for a semester, and then went to BYU to be near my sister for her last year there. I studied voice and theater, and landed a roll as Cinderella for a traveling theater troop called The Young Company.

It was during this time that my roommate set me up on a blind date with Robert William Huckvale. I married him 8 months later. It was very quick, but I know that we were meant to be together forever. We have been blessed with 5 children. Jonathon Taylor, Robert Sessions, Jennifer, David William, and Anne Elizabeth. We are now living in Camas, Washington. My husband serves in the Bishopric, and I serve with the Young Women in our church.
