Nothing is known of Thomas younger days. He married Martha Wingate about 1760 and had the following children. The birth dates are approximate.
Nancy 1761, Hannah 1763, Sally 1765, Zey 1767, Solomon 1768, John 1769, Richard 1771, Abner 1773, Thomas 1775, Ransen 1777, Joe 1779, possibly 3 more sons maybe a Josia. They were possibly all born between Georgetown SC and Wilmington NC. Solomon married Mary Hargraves. We have records of his son, Richard, who was born in Georgetown, North Carolina in 1771. The older children were all listed born in Georgetown S.C. and Richard and all after him in Georgetown NC. He married Unity Baneston about 1796 in South Carolina. They had the following children all born in Anna, Illinois: Abner Lee born abt 1798, Calvin Wheeler born abt 1801. Neither of these boys married. Next was Wade Hampton born abt 1802 and died in 1847. Nancy Ann was born abt 1807 and she married Solomon Davis, Mary Winget was born abt 1810. She never married. Emeline Sessions born abt 18913 married John Sessions. Deborah was born abt 1816 and married Wiley Davis and Richard Waitstell was born in 1820 and married Mary A. House in 1851. He died in 1876.
Richard's youngest son, Richard Waitstell was married in 1851 in Illinois to Mary A. House. She was born in 1824 in Illinois. They had 5 children: Oscar Vance born 1852 and died abt 1925. He became a doctor. He gave his gold pocket watch to Edgar Sessions, who gave it to Alma Preston Sessions, who gave it to Rupert Wixom Sessions.Orrile Jay was born in 1854. Ewing A. was born in 1856. He never married. Ambrose Ney born in 1860 and married but they never had any children, and Kenosha was born in 1862 never married. All were born in Illinois.
